Roger Rounce is a songwriter with over 40 songs commercially recorded who writes in both Nashville and the U.K. He is also an author and in June 2022, a book of his railway locomotive photographs accompanied by narrative entitled ‘Stratford Depot Locomotives in The Eighties and Nineties’ was published by Mortons Media Group Ltd. In July 2022, Rollercoaster Records released an album of 20 songs written or co-written by Roger Rounce. The album is entitled 'Nashville Country' and is available via the Rollercoaster Records website.

In Summer 2016: Two tracks co-written by Roger Rounce, 'You're Already Gone' (co-written with Brian Hodgson of Matchbox) and 'It's Only Love' (co-written with Mike Berry) appeared on the new Mike Berry CD, ‘Sunshine Of Your Smile, Hits and Memories From The 1980s’, released on Rollercoaster Records. 

In 2013, the 20 track Crispian St. Peters album produced by Roger Rounce entitled ‘New Tracks On Old Lines’ was released by Rollercoaster Records. It includes a re-recording of ‘The Pied Piper’ with 19 mostly new tracks written or co-written by Roger Rounce and Crispian St. Peters. Available from: www.rollercoasterrecords.com.

In November 2013, Roger was a guest on the Mark Punter Show on BBC Radio Essex to talk about Crispian and how the CD came about. It is also of interest that the first two recorded songs written by Roger Rounce ('Oh Caroline' and 'It Ain't The Same') were also recorded by Crispian St. Peters and released in Germany on the Metronome label, going top 50. They also appeared on later on a ‘Repertoire Records’ CD.

His songs have been recorded by, amongst others, Mike Berry (UK), Crispian St. Peters (UK and Europe), Jon English (Australia), Joe Fagin (UK), George Moody (UK), Matchbox (UK and Europe), Jan Parker (UK), Athina Andreadis (Greece) and Byron Hill and Jimmy Payne in the USA.

He has written in the UK with Mike Berry, Toby Chapman, Crispian St. Peters, Brian Hodgson (Matchbox), Kenny Plenderleith (McKenZie), George Moody and in Nashville with, amongst others, Jimmy Payne, Byron Hill and Jan Pulsford (Cyndi Lauper).

‘Love Call’, written by Roger Rounce and Toby Chapman (Spandau Ballet / Tom Jones / Cher, etc.) and sung by Toby Chapman was one of six finalists in the UK Song Festival.

'I'm Still Discovering You', written by Roger Rounce and Mike Berry and sung by Mike Berry represented the United Kingdom in the Gibraltar Song Contest.

In 2006 he worked with Suzanne English, founder of ‘babysign’ (a method of communicating with a baby before it can talk), by arranging and performing traditional nursery rhymes and contributing original songs for ‘babysign’ classes around the U.K. and Europe.

In 2009 a song entitled, ‘The Dream Comes True', written by Roger Rounce and legendary ‘Hall of Fame’ Nashville songwriter Byron Hill, was included on Byron's album, ‘Stay A While’.

'The Eyes Of Jesus’, a song Roger Rounce wrote in Nashville with the late, great Jimmy Payne, enjoyed much success throughout the world and received huge amounts of airplay. In April 2010 the song spent two weeks at No.1 on the NCM Charts for the UK and Europe and still held a top twenty position at the end of July and into August of that year.
